Primarily a collection of personal letters from Isami Doi to his friend and mentor Alexander (“Sandy”) Blake concerning his life as an artist on Kauai and in New York and Paris. Supplemented by news clippings, articles, and exhibition catalogs concerning Doi and his art. A major addition of Doi's works on paper, both drawings and prints, was added in 2025 and is scanned for viewing and educational use in an online image gallery.
