Clippings, 1929-1956, bulk: 1940-1947
Scope and Content Note
This subseries makes up the bulk of the SCRAPBOOKS series and is composed of scrapbooks containing clippings from the two major daily newspapers in Hawaii during the war: the Honolulu Star-Bulletin and Honolulu Advertiser (although other newspapers are occasionally represented). Nineteen sub-subseries titles have been assigned based on the scrapbooks’ creators, whether they were people or organizations. If the creator is unknown, sub-subseries titles based on subject have been assigned according to the subject headings from the ORIGINAL SUBJECT FILES series.
