Scope and Content Note

This subseries contains an article dated 1969 May 11 from the Sunday Star-Bulletin and Advertiser titled “Pearl Harbor Spy.” The article is an interview with Ensign Takeo Yoshikawa (formerly of the espionage section of Japan’s Naval General Staff) who worked in Honolulu in 1941 under the alias of Tadashi Morimura as vice consul for Japan in Honolulu and passed intelligence to the Japanese in preparation for the Pearl Harbor attack.
