Local (From Danger Zones) contains materials related to evacuation from specific areas of the territory. Two folders contain miscellaneous material related to the evacuation of the city of Honolulu as a whole, including evacuation plans and correspondence, and materials describing city congestion and likely fire hazards to aid the evacuation effort. One folder contains material pertaining to evacuation shelters at Kalihi, primarily correspondence regarding use of the camp by various parties. The fourth folder contains miscellaneous materials from the Major Disaster Council concerning evacuation planning on Maui. Although the majority of this folder’s contents concern the island of Maui, the folder also contains some materials regarding evacuation plans on Oahu.
