Container Summary

[San Francisco; On board “Sierra;” Matson Line stationery] Pleasant trip, will be in San Francisco the next day. Asks if Blake noticed the big improvement in Mrs. Vitousek’s painting at the Academy show. Glad to know that “Huc” [Luquiens?] has being doing oils. Says Madge’s [Tennent?] oil “looked better when I saw it the second time next day…” Mentions Mrs. Hayward re reduction of prices on “boatmen;” may let Katherine have it for $15 since $25 sale in N.Y. will call for 1/3rd commission. His N.Y. address will be: 408 West 130 St. New York, NY, c/o I.J. Sanger.
