Container Summary

[Paris] He’s in his furnished, cold “little studio” for $200 per year, is happy and is working well. Went to the Louvre and the Luxembourg; discusses artists and works. Wants to go to Germany to see more, especially those of Van Gogh and Renoir. Hasn’t met many Japanese people in Paris. Will be taking a sketching course in one of the academies that has no instructors since “I hate to be urged into a different path…” Has avoided women because of his economic situation and because he will be staying only a year. New permanent address: Hotel du Palais, 12 Rue de la Harpe, Paris V.
