[N.Y. City] Appreciates Blake’s faith in him. Hopes he isn’t a disappointment to family and friends. He’s thinking of going to South America. He wants to “experience the rare feeling that I have no friends who care for me…” He feels to comfortable and well cared for in the U.S. He works in a friend’s frame shop for small recompense. He thanks Blake for recommending him to the Guggenheim; names others who recommended also. If he gets it, he may go back to France. He is to meet Mr. Rollins of the California Palace of the Legion of Honor for an exhibition. He did not get into the “Fifty Prints” show this year. Talks about telling Blanche not to wait for him and hasn’t heard from her in long time. He says she wants him back, but he says his art comes first. Wants to have a show in Honolulu, maybe in March.
