Scope and Contents

Neil Abercrombie represented the 5th district (Mānoa-Makiki-Waikīkī) on the Honolulu City Council from 1988 to 1991. Among the issues documented in this series are the siting of the convention center, a study exposing favoritism in the awarding of tee times at municipal golf courses, the Save Sandy Beach Initiative, and a defamation lawsuit filed against Abercrombie by State Senator Rick Reed.

In accordance with the donor agreement, constituent casework is restricted. Approximately 150 GB of born-digital materials are also restricted until they can be arranged and described.
