Scope and Contents The Janet E. Bell Papers are divided into three series: Scrapbooks, Personal Papers, and Professional Papers. Materials include correspondence, employment forms, photographs, ticket stubs, contact records, news clippings, Hawai'i Library Association periodicals, awards, and reports. Scope and Contents

This series comprises personal correspondence, newspaper clippings, records related to Bell's family members, and other documents not directly generated through her professional library and curatorial activities. Some documents do, however, contain information pertaining to her work and the UH Library, such as those in folders 4 (Honolulu Star-Bulletin - Biographical Questionnaire), 5 (Misc. Retirement Papers), and 6 (Who's Who of American Women).
