Abstract Earle Ernst (1911 - 1994) was a renowned theatre professor who taught at the University of Hawaii at Manoa for over 30 years. Overview

The records of the Office of the President, Fujio Matsuda administration, were transferred to the University of Hawaii Archives in January of 1986. The sequence of these files derives largely from the period when the office was held by Matsuda. Many files, however, contain records predating the actual period of his presidential tenure. The earlier records emanate primarily from the administrations of Harlan Cleveland and Thomas H. Hamilton.

Scope and Contents Primarily includes the personal correspondence of Willard Wilson in his roles as Dean, Acting President, Provost, Professor, and University Secretary at UH. Contained within are folders for specific individuals and organizations as well as folders labeled "A" through "Y" containing correspondence usually filed in the folder matching the first letter of the individual's last name or organization name, exceptions like sorting by first name or including unrelated names present.
