Overview Hideo Nakamine (1922-) served as a machine gunner with the 522nd Field Artillery Battalion during World War II. The 522nd FAB, a unit of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, was one of the most efficient artillery units serving in Europe during World War II. The 522nd FAB saw action in Italy and France alongside the 442nd RCT.
