Overview Dr. Leonard D. Tuthill was a professor in the Department of Zoology and Entomology for the University of Hawaii from 1947. He was an active academic who was in 1967 named the first Provost of Leeward Community College in Honolulu. Dr. Tuthill was charged with originally opening the college in Pearl City Kai Elementary School.
