Three scrapbooks of wartime clippings and photographs concerning the former President of University of Hawaii at Manoa, Gregg M. Sinclair. Photographs of Sinclair appear on the first pages of the first scrapbook (covering the period from 1942 May 27 to October 22), but the rest of that scrapbook and the remaining two scrapbooks contain only clippings from the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Honolulu Advertiser, and New China Daily Press. Sinclair was instrumental in the formation of the Hawaii War Records Depository during his tenure as university president. The scrapbooks begin prior to his inauguration as president, which occurred on 21 October in 1942.
