Photographs, some mounted, captions, and other items used in the exhibit, "Fifty Years With the Bomb," as well as photographs of the exhibit as it was mounted in 1995 at the Architecture Gallery at UH and signage from the spring 2018 re-mount under the title "Beginning and End of the Bomb" at Kapiolani Community College's Lama Libirary.

Content Description Includes documents from the 1950s-1970s and 35 black & white photographs of Yap and Fiji. The majority of the photographs in this collection (33 of 35) were shot by Rob Wright, Sr., and are stamped Public Relations Office Suva. Fiji Official Photograph. Scope and Contents

The John Dapper Collection is composed of his plans, drawings and designs for film and stage sets. There is also a series of framed watercolors depicting landscapes and buildings the artist created in Hawaii.

This Collection includes the faculty papers of Ben Norris who was a professor and chair of the Art Department; papers were originally acquired by the Library in 1976. Additions cover his work as a prominent Hawaii artist. Studio lists, art exhibitions, clippings, correspondence, journals, diaries, scrapbooks, writings , photographs of his art, and catalogs are included.

Overview

The records of the Office of the President, Fujio Matsuda administration, were transferred to the University of Hawaii Archives in January of 1986. The sequence of these files derives largely from the period when the office was held by Matsuda. Many files, however, contain records predating the actual period of his presidential tenure. The earlier records emanate primarily from the administrations of Harlan Cleveland and Thomas H. Hamilton.

Scope and Contents

Album no. 22 includes landscapes, architecture, Lanikai House, and Chinese Festival. Album no. 23 includes Swami, portraits of University of Hawaii faculty and relatives, and other miscellaneous work. Portraits include those of Wendy Kim Chee, Richard Nelson, Alex Pickens, Mata'umu Alisa family, Harlan Cleveland, John Dominis Holt, Carl Wolz, Andre Kertesz, Kawabata Minoru, and Carlos Merida.
