Overview

This collection consists of 22 spiral-bound notebooks, which contain comments, suggestions, questions, and even poetry from a variety of UHM library patrons. Replies from UHM reference librarians are included. Three notebooks are from Hamilton Library while the remaining 19 are from Sinclair Library. Notebooks range in date from June 1970 to May 1984 with the bulk of materials from 1975 to 1979.

Overview

The Harold and Maude Lyon Papers consist of the personal correspondence of Harold L. and Maude Lyon dating from 1902-1953, together with stereo photographs and transparencies from 1953-1955 of Hawaiian subjects. Harold Lyon was a prominent botanist in Hawaii and the Lyon Arboretum in Honolulu Hawaii is named for him. The collection has historical, evidential and informational value.
